March 29th, 2014 - The King of America IV Modified Nationals at Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kansas) was held over the weekend as one of the richest events of the year for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) competitors was on the line.

A talented field of ninety-three competitors registered for battle, and the format included double heat races on Thursday and Friday night with drivers accumulating points toward Saturday nigh't finale. On Thursday evening Brown motored from the twelfth starting spot to a fourth place finish in the first heat and later picked up the win in the second heat. Chris ended the evening with a second place run in the sixteen lap preliminary feature.

On Friday night Brown finished third in the first heat after start fifth, and recorded another third place finish in the second heat after starting seventh. Chris registered a fifteenth place finish in Friday's preliminary feature. With two nights of preliminary action in the books, Brown was scored eleventh on the point's chart locking him into the $10,000-to-win finale on Saturday.

When action ratcheted up on Saturday night, Chris fought an ill-handling race car for much of the event before his night was brought to an end when he was caught in a melee with the leaders on lap 92. Brown's #21 Lone Star Hydro & Maintenance/LG2 Open Wheel Modified was left sitting idle in the middle of turn three, resulting in a 21st place finish in the final rundown.

March 22nd, 2014 - Chris Brown entered a single event over the weekend, joining the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana).

Forty-eight competitors entered the event, and Chris started the night off with a win in his preliminary heat race, earning him a spot in the draw for the $2,000-to-win main event. In the redraw he received the sixth starting spot for the 40 lap feature. During the course of the feature, Brown advanced four spots to record a second place finish at the checkered flag behind race winner Chris Henigan.

March 14th, 2014 - After a busy weekend last week, Chris traveled to Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana) for the 4th Annual Pelican 100. The event was originally scheduled to be a two-day, $10,000-to-win event but officials made the decision to cut the Pelican 100 to a one-day, $5,000-to-win event based on the forecast for threatening weather over the weekend.

Chris started second in his preliminary heat race among the fifty-one entries that were on hand for the unsanctioned program. A second place finish in the heat earned him the tenth starting spot on the grid for the 50 lap main event. During the course of the feature, Brown battled around the top ten for much of the event before registering a solid seventh place finish at the checkered flag.

March 8th, 2014 - Chris Brown pulled double duty over the weekend competing in both the P&W Sales SUPR Super Late Model and Open Wheel Modified portions of the annual Port-A-Cool Texas Dirt Track Championship at the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway (Justin, Texas).

The weekend kicked off on Friday night with the Open Wheel Modified division with sixty-six competitors signed in to chase the $3,000 top prize. After drawing the outside pole for the heat race and later claiming the win, Chris was locked into the eighth starting spot for the A-Main qualifier. After battling at the front of the back for much of the preliminary feature, Brown recorded a tenth place finish, sending him to a B-Main on Saturday. After winning his b-main on Saturday, Chris rolled off from the tenth spot on the feature grid. During the course of the 40 lap feature, Brown advanced to a fifth place finish behind race winner Cade Dillard, Jason Hughes, Rodney Sanders, and John Whittington.

In the P&W Sales Southern United Professional Racers (SUPR) event on Saturday night, thirty-seven Super Late Models registered for battle, and Chris drew the fifth starting spot for the fourth heat race. A second place finish in his heat race positioned Brown starting fourth on the feature grid for the $3,500-to-win finale. In the 40 lap feature, Chris drove his #21 Lone Star Hydro & Maintenance/Club 29/Roush Yates Racing Engine Super Late Model to a solid second place finish behind only race winner Morgan Bagley. Ryan Gustin finished third followed by Jon Mitchell and Rodney Sanders.
